Commercial Crestron Applications Engineer – Boston

Our office in Boston(Plainville, MA) has an opening for a Full Time Commercial Crestron Programmer.

We support commercial and residential Crestron dealers around the country. Most systems are commissioned onsite. You can expect at least 2 short trips a month (2 days) or 2 longer trips (4 days.)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Commercial turn-key system programming
  • Commercial system programming troubleshooting
  • Onsite startup and debugging
  • Telephone support
  • Projects are local, regional, national and international in scope, so some travel is required
  • Module authoring

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Position is based in our Plainville, MA office, and candidates must live in proximity to, or be willing to relocate to, the Boston, MA area. Relocation assistance is available. Telecommuting will not be considered.
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience with
    • SIMPL Windows
    • VisionTools®Pro-e
    • DEAL
    • ToolBox - text console usage
    • SIMPL Debugger
  • Have a good understanding of:
    • Audio Conferencing
    • Video Conferencing
    • Audio DSPs including Biamp, ClearOne, BSS and others
    • Room Combination Logic
    • Networking concepts
  • Have a fundamental understanding of:
    • Interpretation of Audio, Video, and Control drawings
    • Graphic Design principles

Well-qualified candidate will possess the following:

  • Crestron Certification
  • Experience with Crestron Core3UI/Smart Graphics
  • Proof of attendance of one or more Crestron Masters Classes
  • Understanding of SIMPL+ and other procedural languages
  • XPanel, XPanelEXE
  • Understanding of advanced networking concepts such as Cisco architecture and configurations
  • Understanding of HTML, JavaScript, ActiveX, ASP.net
  • Understanding of C#, and SIMPL# Pro

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation: Based on experience and skills set with 90-day and annual reviews.
