Crestron Modules to Interface with UPB Lighting Systems via RS-232 Serial

This family of four modules provides an interface between your Crestron control system and a UPB lighting system. This module can be used to interface with any UPB lighting system, including those manufactured by Powerline Control Systems (Pulseworx) as well as those manufactured by any of the various UPB licensees such as Simply Automated.

The Link Interface module is recommended for most (if not all) Crestron - UPB integration. This module allows "links" in the UPB lighting system to be triggered and monitored by the Crestron processor. These "links" are analogous to Crestron join numbers, and can trigger a wide variety of scenes and events on the UPB network.

Direct control modules are also provided for individual devices on the UPB network. This method is not advised, however, as it can rapidly consume a large about of the limited bandwidth on the UPB network.

Interfacing between the Crestron processor and the UPB lighting network requires a Powerline Interface Module (PIM). The serial connection to this device is non-standard. Pinout details are available below.
